As a Senior DevOps Engineer at monday.com, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and maintaining our robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure. You will drive the evolution of our CI/CD pipelines and platform architecture, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability for our rapidly growing product. This role offers a significant opportunity to make a tangible impact on our core product's stability and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform.
- Architect and manage our Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration strategies to support our evolving microservices ecosystem.
- Develop, optimize, and evangelize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable, and automated software delivery for Node.js applications.
- Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions, leveraging Elasticsearch for deep system visibility and proactive issue detection.
- Drive the adoption of best practices for security, performance tuning, and cost optimization across our entire cloud environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with underlying infrastructure and tooling, fostering a strong DevOps culture.
Requirements
- Proven senior-level experience in DevOps engineering, building and scaling highly available production systems.
- Deep expertise in managing and orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, EKS, Lambda) and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Strong background in developing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Node.js or a similar language (e.g., Python, Go).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, including Elasticsearch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and preventative approach to system reliability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and share knowledge with team members.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of message queuing systems like Kafka.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Contributions to open-source projects or community involvement.
